Dr. Silvia Stadler

International Veterinary Ophthalmology Specialist

Growing up as a triplet with many animals, she started her calling as a veterinarian in 1999 in Vienna with her Veterinary Medicine degree. This was followed by an Internship in Equine Medicine, a doctorate on Equine Sarcoids in 2011, and the Specialist Veterinary Examination for Horses in 2012 in Vienna.

After 7 years of experience as the first Assistant Veterinarian at the Tillysburg Equine Clinic and numerous stays abroad with renowned international ophthalmologists, Dr. Stadler followed the call to Switzerland for her residency training as an International Veterinary Ophthalmologist under Prof. Bernhard Spiess at the Vetsuisse Faculty in Zurich. In 2019, she completed her training with the title DACVO (Diplomate of American College of Veterinary Ophthalmology). After 5 years of self-employed consulting work as a veterinary ophthalmologist in Switzerland, she has been back in Austria since 2021.

Her enthusiasm also extends to the education of veterinarians, which is why she regularly gives lectures and courses in Europe and the USA. She trains external, international residents for ECVO (equine ophthalmology) and passionately mentors ophthalmology-interested externs or visiting veterinarians" from all over the world who visit her practice."
